“My soul inclines upon your brow, my dear, where it seems, That autumn, strewn with freckles dreams”*, the lizard seems to be saying to mother nature. A personified nature, deified in a way that evokes ancient Native American religions, in the style of Aztec bas-relief. We find here two dear subjects of reflexion to Michaël Cailloux: nature and dream. A nature created by fantasy, where dreaming offers an image and a feeling. It’s an invocation, setting up the artist to build his personal vision on, to bring us along for a peculiar journey echoing forgotten magic.
